Speech Assistant

Sharon is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Speech Meta, having joined the team in 2017. With a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University and recent certification as a TouchChat trainer, her professional focus is driven by her personal experiences as a mother to three children with special needs. She specializes in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and creating switch-adapted toys for individuals with complex communication needs. Outside of work, Sharon enjoys hiking, spending quality time with her family, and caring for stray cats. Committed to making a difference, she is actively increasing her community work with the Family Support Institute to assist families facing similar challenges.
