Ysabella Tabuena

Registered Speech Language Pathologist

Ysabella received her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia. She is a registered member with the College of Care and Health Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) and with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

Ysabella has experience providing intervention and assessments for a wide variety of children who have speech, language and communication difficulties. She has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and other communication challenges. Ysabella is also interested in the areas of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), social communication and fluency.  

Ysabella is passionate about providing services that are family-centred, play-based and neurodiversity affirming. She aims to celebrate the diverse ways that people communicate and learn, while providing a space that is inclusive, safe and fun for her all clients and their families. Ysabella enjoys collaborating with caregivers and other professionals to develop functional goals for her clients and to best support her clients’ progress in therapy. 

In her free time, Ysabella enjoys rock climbing, paddle boarding in the summer, baking and reading.
